My knife sharpening side hustle has radically transformed my life, and the next chapter for me is to teach all I’ve learned.
To that end, I launched the Guild of Professional Sharpeners, a community of knife and tool sharpening business owners from around the world working together to hone our craft and grow our business.

The Foundations for Success Course
Inside the Guild of Professional Sharpeners is an online course that takes you through all the steps to get your business off the ground in the first year.
One session in the course is dedicated to tools. If you’d like to see the tools I recommend to start a sharpening business please download it when prompted on-screen, or follow this link.
Thank you for your interest and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Hey Matt, have you ever used one of the Work Sharp Sharpeners? Personally, I think its the best.. but I’m definitely biased. Let me know your address and I’ll get you one to try.

I see them all over the place but have never tried one. I’d be interested to check it out. I’ll reach out to you via email.

Hi Matt, I recently bought some restaurant 8″ knives and a V sharpener. I successfully pitched my knife sharpening buisiness idea to a local restaurant.
What tips can u give on how to proceed from here?

Hi Keith, thanks for asking!
The best tip I can offer is to join The Guild of Professional Sharpeners. You’ll have tons of questions as you grow your sharpening business, and that’s the best network that exists to help you grow. More at guildofsharpeners.org
